Life is beautiful, especially through a photographer's lenses. But I had never thought about being a photographer. The dream from my childhood was to be a biologist, to explore the mystery of the nature. While growing up, I became a tough hiker on the molecular biology trail.

The first SLR camera I used was to shoot some of the experimental plants. By chance, I focused on the landscape. To my surprise, the world through the lenses was somehow different from it through eyes directly. You could choose the specific field, you could make the subject stand out by softening the background, you could even play with the lights. I was totally fascinated by the lenses and started to record the life with them.

I love the nature and travel is my addiction. When I lived in China, my footprints covered almost every part of the country. In the trip, I recorded what I saw through the lenses, and wrote down interesting travel stories. Most of those travel articles were published in Chinese media alongside my stunning photographs.

A few years ago, to realize the ambition of being a molecular biologist, I came to US. Besides work, all the holidays and vacations were spent on the trip. From Alaska glaciers to Mexico Maya ruins, from east coast to southwest canyons, I was exploring another great land. I used to travel alone, appreciating the magic of nature and capturing it with lenses and heart. In addition to still photos, I started to bear to the world of videos, playing the same theme with a 3CCD lens digital camcorder. Video editing on computer provided me the fantastic experience to produce a final movie containing full story, vivid color and beautiful soundtrack.

My photos and videos got a lot of compliments and I was even encouraged to be a freelance photographer. A couple of weeks ago, luckily, I got this cool domain name (www.mygalleryonline.com), and started to design and build my own gallery online. That was a time-consuming task, started from picking up every single picture from tons of my stock, started from designing every single icon, but I enjoyed those moments, and I tried to do my best. Today, I am so excited to get this website finally published, to present my works on the web.
